Here, I am going to attempt to relay what information I have learned about
taking pictures with my Kodak DC210 plus digital camera. I've had this camera
for a couple years now, and I'm happy with it.
Below is a picture of my current background for taking pictures. It is just a piece
of off white paper I picked up at AC Moores. I've curved the paper, so when I take
the picture, there is no crease mark in the background. As you can see below, I'm
holding the paper in place with a couple pliers, and they also hold the paper down
enough so the miniature doesn't tilt forward. Also, I have found a use for GW's matte
varnish..I use it to hold up the back of the paper ;-)

As you can see below, the miniatures can lay flat, and I'm starting to
bring my swing arm lamps around. I have one lamp off to the left and
fairly close to the models. The second lamp is positioned in front
of the models.

The picture below shows where the lamps are positioned for the best
effect. You will need a good amount of light for the details to be luminated.
I place my camera right on the edge of the cutting board so the camera is at
its sweet spot in macro mode. That is, the camera has a set distance it focuses
at in macro mode, and its around 10 inches.

For light bulbs, I use GE's Enrich 60 watt bulbs for painting, but for taking
pictures, I replace the left lamp with a 100 watt bulb.

I hope this gives people some help in taking pictures :-)
